Ecce un altere exemplo illustrante le difficultates de
traduction electronic:

---

Let's consider another example: "The police refused
the students a permit because they feared violence."

Now, let's suppose that we want to translate this text
into a language like French in which the word for
'police' is feminine. Presumably the pronoun that
translates the English 'they' will also have to be
feminine.

Let us now replace the word 'feared' with 'advocated'.
As a result of this change, it suddenly seems that
'they' is a reference to the students and not to the
police and, if the word for students is masculine, it
will therefore require a different translation.

The knowledge required to reach these conclusions is
not of a linguistic nature. It is the result of
semantic background knowledge of everyday facts about
students, police, violence, and the kinds of
relationships among all these different things.

Que nos considera un altere exemplo: "Le policia
refusava un permisso al studentes proque illes timeva
le violentia".

Ora, que nos suppone que nos vole traducer iste texto
a in un lingua como le francese, in le qual le parola
"policia" es del genero feminin. In iste caso, le
pronomine que traduce le anglese "they" anque debera
esser feminin.

Le cognoscimentos necesse pro arrivar a iste
conclusiones non es de un natura linguistic. Illos es
le resultatos de cognoscimentos semantic de factos ex
le vita quotidian sur students, le policia, le
violentia, e le tipos de relationes inter omne iste
factores.
