Desde 1 de Maio, quando o Presidente dos EUA George W.
Bush declarou concluída a fase militar da guerra no
Iraque, pelo menos 139 soldados americanos foram
mortos em combate. ... [O] Presidente não se refere às
baixas excepto em termos muito gerais.

Since the first of May, when the president of the
United States George W. Bush declared a conclusion to
the military phase of the war in Iraq, at least 139
American soldiers have been killed in combat.  The
president speaks about this only in vague terms.
