Io personalmente pensa que si tu dice :

"'iste roman es insolite (ordinari)', illo significa que le roman non te place." et illo es un phrase comprensibile

Equalmente si tu vole explicar plus precisemente, tu pote usar

"vole dicer" o "da a intender" poterea ser utile
