 Le veritate sr. Yeager, e io te appella senior,
per respecto que vermente tu es digne de reciper
in mi opinion, es que io non me concerne multo
con le ideas de Whorf, le ideas de linguistas
o scientificos vade e veni con le aere; le
alba de un nove die trahe altere scientias e
ideas, hic es le deber del juvenes de pensar
e recercar, de tumbar lo incorrecte e false e
de suggirer cosas plus proxime al veritate, e
plus correcte, mais le recerca sempre continua.

Io me concerne con le opiniones del corde, del
anima e del esser plus tosto que del scientias
forte, mais sin illos ubi esserea nos? Io como
amante del computatores ama alsi le technologia,
mais le technologia veni del ideas e del desiros
del esser human, e plus saepe del necessitate.

Le veritate es alsi que io ha essayate de
triumphar pro le lingua bel international in
altere listas e gruppos de notitias in respecto
al accusation de que Interlingua es in alcun
forma juncte al racismo, io ha provate que le
accusationes non habeva fundo necun e que illo
es un false accusation in respecto al Interlingua
e su vocabulario o grammatica.

Un altere interlinguista de bon nomine e fama e que
alsi es parte del lista de eposta INTERLNG, dice
isto re Whorf e Interlingua... (in un libro con le
qual io sape vos es multo familiar, viste que vos
alsi ha includite duo articulos in illo, mais hic
es le nota...)

Le famose linguista Mario Pei in su "One language
for the World" dice:

" But the major proponent of Interlingua, Dr.
Alexander Gode, presents a defense and justification
of his system which is well worth considering. His
international language, he claims, is meant primariloy
for use in written form at scientific congresses
(indeed, it has already been so used, and with
seemeing success); the language of science and
technology, he goes on to add, is purely and simply a
conglomeration of western tongues, and particularly of
Latin and Greek international roots, with next to no
participation by Slavic, Oriental, or even the popular
element of Germanic languages. The Russian, Japanese,
Indian, or African scientist who wishes to attend a
scientific gathering must perforce have learned the
essential western scientific vocabulary in order to
have taken even the first steps in his profession;
therefore, the adoption of a western international
language works no hardship on him whatsoever.

"A further point that he strikingly illustrates is
this: we can grant proportional representation to the
major Oriental tongues (Chinese, Japanese, Persian,
Malay, Arabic, and Hindustani), but these tongues are
mutually incomprehensible. Without special study, the
speaker of Hindustani will be just as much at a loss
before a Chinese as before a Latin word. Hence, by
insisting on broadening our international base, we run
a decided risk of making our language comprehensible
to no one, westerners or Orientals.

"By way of demonstration, he offers the following
passage, first in Interlingua as it is, next in
Interlingua as it would be if proportional
representation were granted to the Asian group:

wo, ada hari. Wo miru per ni-ti fenestra sama wo-ti
mata brillante como kin, dan wo yu ni toki ada tempo
a levar ni. Dan wo yu ni: "Sust, leva ni. Wo non
brilla sam-rap ni tomaru a toko a nemuru, sed wo
brilla sam-rap ni leva ni, dan que ni suru kam,
ni yomu, dan ni aruku." ' "

"The first point is that no westerner will even begin
to understand this without very special study. The
second, and perhaps even more important point is that
the Malay speaker who supplied mata-hari and sam-rap,
will not understand the Chinese wo-ti, ni, and yu, or
the Japanese taihen and nemuru; nor will his words be
understood by the speakers of the latter languages."


E tunc le veritate del question. Interlingua es
specialmente bassate in radices Occidental proque
le radices Occidental son vermente International, e
usate per le parlatores de linguas-matre Oriental e
African qui vole progressar in su studios del scientia
e technologia moderne. Un compromisso inter le linguas
Occidental e Oriental/African, un via medie, in iste
respecto non esserea advisabile mais un lingua bassate
in le radices commun del scientias e technologia es
le fonte del comprendimento pro personas de altere
linguas-matre e de multe, diverse culturas.
