Happy Holidays Everyone,
Thank you all so much for the emotional support and encouragement you
provided in your responses. It was very nice hearing from all of you.
I appreciate all the suggestions and recipes you provided.
Someone wrote that to cut back on carbs try potato skins hollowed out
w/cheese,sour cream and bacon. The same person wrote to fry tomatoes
in olive oil sprinkled with some basil for breakfast.
Another person wrote that Gorilla Munch Cereal was good. Another's
suggestion was to limit red meat to once a week and have more fish and
fowl. Also, to have a corn tortilla with egg whites in it for breakfast.
Plus there were good suggestions for exercising. For example, going out to
learn dancing. Using the stairs instead of the elevator all the tim
e.
These are great suggestions, but because of having chronic back problems it
is difficult for me to walk more than a quarter of a mile these days.
However, there are still some types of exercise I should be able to do.
Well I really appreciate all of your responses and your frankness and
honesty on what I need to do in the days ahead. I will tell you that I am
positively being very careful now what I put into my mouth. And trying
hard to watch those portion sizes.
Thanks again,
LesterJ/NJ
