and this means = e isto significa (alternativa plus libere:) e per
consequente...
that the European Union = que le Union Europee
must spend = debe expender
large sums of money = large summas de moneta = grande amontas de moneta
- o simplemente: multe moneta = much money
>De facto, il ha etiam pares de Europee lingues pro quo le
>E.U. pote trovar nulle capabile traductor.

>> In fact, there are even pairs of European languages for which the E.U.

of European languages = de linguas europee
for which = pro le quales - al quales
the E.U. = le Union Europee
can find no capable translator = pote trovar nulle capabile interprete
cannot find capable translators = non pote trovar interpretes capabile

>un existente natural lingue pro international communication.

is to use = es a usar; es usar
un lingua natural existente - o - un existente lingua natural
for international communication = pro communication international

>Ma natural lingues esse difficile apprender a causa de lor

natural languages = linguas natural

>darea ambe un politic e un linguistic avantage a le nation or
>nationes que (??) lo.
>> both political and linguistic advantage to the nation or nations
both ... and = e ... e (et... et)
both political and linguistic advantage = e avantage politic e linguistic
to the nation or nations = al nation o nationes
>>who use it = que lo usa.

> Proque iste occasion, multe nove lingues esseva construeta
>> For these reasons, many new languages have been constructed
for these reasons = pro iste rationes, pro iste causas
have been constructed = ha essite construite = se ha construite
O: Pro iste rationes on ha construite multe nove linguas...
>pro servir como lingues mundial.
>> to serve as world languages.
world languages = linguas mundial
>Illos esse simple e facile apprender, e politicemente neutral;
>>They are simple and easy to learn, and politically neutral;
they are = illos es
simple and easy to learn = simple e facile (a) apprender

>illos esse le commun proprietate de tote le humanitate.
>>they are the common property of all mankind.
the common property = le proprietate commun

would be = esserea
Un forma irregular es _era_ = was
_erea_ would be.

On forma passivos analogemente a anglese
It has been done = illo ha essite facite.
Si on pensa que isto sona troppo rigide on pote cambiar le proposition a
forma active usante _on_ como subjecto:
One has done, people have done = On ha facite.

Specialmente in allegationes de
senso general:
Interlingua is spoken. = Se parla interlingua. = On parla interlingua.

Sed _The letter was written in interlingua._ a mi aviso debe esser traducite:
Le littera esseva (= era) scribite in interlingua.)

Sperante que vos ha uso de isto!
