Very interesting to know that "ordinateur" was chosen by IBM.
When they began to market computers in france, the american head
of the french IBM subsidary wanted a french name for a so new product.
He had strong Bull competition, bull spoke of "calculateurs".

So he hired a very good french writter, Jacques Perret, and ask him to
found a name, it was "ordinateur", well more suited than computer.
