Sociedades Científicas Querem Proibir Clonagem
Reprodutiva

Mais de meia centena de academias científicas de todo
o mundo pediram ontem às Nações Unidas que seja
proibida a clonagem reprodutiva humana. O pedido,
feito pelo Painel Interacadémico de Assuntos
Internacionais, entidade que representa instituições
científicas de todo o mundo, frisa que devem ficar de
fora desta proibição as técnicas de clonagem
terapêutica.

Entre os signatários do pedido estão instituições de
países tão díspares como a Royal Society, do Reino
Unido, ou a Real Sociedade Científica da Jordânia. Mas
não consta da lista nenhuma instituição portuguesa.

Plus que 50 academias scientific de omne le mundo
peteva heri al Nationes Unite que on prohibe le
clonage reproductive human.  Le petition facite per le
Panel Interacademic de Affaires International, un
entitate que representa institutiones scientific de
omne le mundo, anque vole emphaticamente que le
technicas de clonage therapeutic sia permittite.

Inter le signatorios del petition es institutiones de
paises tan differente como le Royal Societate del
Regno Unite o le Societate Regal Scientific de
Jordania.  Ma il non ha ulle institution portugese
inter illos.

Scientific societies want to forbid reproductive
cloning.

More than fifty scientific academies from around the
world petitioned the United Nationes yesterday to
prohibit human reproductive cloning.  The petition
made by the Interacademic Panel on International
Affairs, an organization representing scientific
institutions everywhere in the world, emphasized that
it does not want to apply this prohibition to
techniques of therapeutic cloning.

Among the signatories of the petition are national
organizationes as different as the United Kingdom's
Royal Society and the Royal Scientific Society of
Jordan.  But there is no Portuguese organization among
them.
