Tolkien's citation es un 'lusus verborum' (Angl.:'pun').

Le structur original es:  'all that glitter is not gold'.
(omni objecti che scintilla non es de auro (?))

Es un structur:

  <generalita [qualita spec.]> ID--> <neg> <classificatione>

Tolkien reverse le qualita specificando como le classificatione:

  <generalita [classificatione]> ID --> <neg> <qualita spec.>

In oltre parole, Tolkien's citation non facer multo di senso
sin conoscer el original e es difficil di translater per questo
ragione solmente.

En un manier similar, le linea secondo es reverso (comparata al
original) mais le parte negative es al initio:

    <neg><generalita [classificatione]> ID--> <qualita>

Le structur reverse di Frank's essayo es possibilmente plus
correcto:

 Toti objecti de auro non scintilla
 Non toti vagabundi perdeva la via
