Kara Manvxelo,

Forsan Martinet poterea responder ad iste fascinante questiones.

tiu lingvo belan reklamon. Nun mi lancxas al la Interlinguaanoj tiujn
demandojn en la *lingua international*:

An Martinet pote parlar Interlingua?

An Martinet ha studiate mesmo Interlingua? Ille diceva: *I have never
taken the trouble of learning any of the competing planned languages,
although I can read most of them.* An ille mesmo ha studiate Esperanto?

An Martinet prefere Interlingua como lingua international? *I have no
personal preference for any of them, even for _Occidental_, which
probably stood closest to what I thought would have had a chance to
reach a wide public with the financial support I believed would be
available for the launching of the final product.* diceva ille.

anglese? *My conclusion is that the problem of a language for
international communication presents itself as the conflict between a
planned language, Esperanto, which is known to function to the
satisfaction of its users, and a hegemonic national language, which, as
we all know, is, today, English.* scribeva ille.

plej proksime tion, pri kio mi kredis, ke gxi havus sxancon atingi

Nu, Marteno, jen via lojala subtenanto (kiam li havis nur 90 jarojn).

Eblas ke li sxangxis sian opinion rilate Esperanton kaj Interlinguan.
Tamen li devus klarigi la aferon iomete.

Plej amike vin salutas,

Martin Lavalle'e
