Claes-Gvran Ingestedt ha ration! Calandra existe in anglese como
"calender". Io ha verificate isto per trovar lo anque in mi Webster's
Dictionario del anglese. Secundo mi Webster's New Universal Unabridged
Dictionary

calender n. [Fr. calendre; LL. calendra; L cylindrus; Gr. kylindros, a
roller, cylinder].

Mi Webster's Third International in Infopedia dice

1. calender [MF calandrer, fr. calandre, machine for calendering, fr. (assumed)
VL colendra cylinder, modif. of Gk kylindros]: to press (as cloth, rubber,
or paper) between rollers or plates in order to smooth and glaze or to thin
into sheets.]

2. calender n (1688): a machine for calendering something

3. calender n {Persian qualandar, fr. Ar, fr. Per kalandar uncouth man] (1621):
a member of a Sufic order of wandering mendicant dervishes.

My Random House College Dictionary de anglese dice

calender [< ML calendr(a), alter. of L. cylindrus cylinder].

calender es anque le verbo.

calenderer es uno qui calender alco.

Ergo, interlingua: calendra, calendrar, calendrator

(Mi Larousse lista le origina como "bas. lat. _calendra_ < gr. kulindros".)
(Mi Vox espaniol lista calandria (fr. calandre)). [Mais le autoritative
dictionario de francese lista calEndra in VL.) Possibilemente il ha
duo versiones international: calEndra e calAndra.

Un premio a Claes-Gvran!
