pt-BR, non pt-PT. Andei, estava a andar.

What's wrong with simply 'camminava'? What does it add to add to 
special form? Isn't it that you feel like having to use it, just 
because simply "I walked" sounds a bit silly in English in 
certain contexts?

In Dutch, for example, it is not awkard at:
Ik liep op straat toen ik opeens een fret zag oversteken.
Ik was op straat aan het lopen toen ...
(The latter is possible grammatically, but we just don't say 
that. Why would we?)

German:
Ich war auf der Straße am laufen, als plötzlich ...
Weird, unnecessary, incorrect. In German.

"Quando io jocava" es ancora plus breve, e assi clar.

Regrettabile le interlingua non habe un verbo 'footballer'. In 
nederlandese iste es possibile:
Terwijl ik voetbalde ...
("while I footballed")
