Isto forsan esseva un omission. Historicamente, iste -ti- ha percurrite le 
mesme via de -ci-, e mesmo ha essite graphicamente substituite per "c(i)" 
in le majoritate del linguas-fontes de IA.

FR science [si'9~s]

In portugese e espaniol iste "-ti-" deveniva anque "-ç-" e "-z-" (con 
"absorption" del "i" posterior), mais ancora le pronunciation es equal a 
illo de "c" ante "i":

PT esperança [espe'r6~sa]
ES esperanza [espe'ranTa]

Solo in italiano le pronunciationes e le graphias ha divergite:

IT ciclo ['tSiklo]
IT scienza ['Sentza] (/tz/?)
IT speranza [spe'rantza] (/tz/?)

Assi, io considera multo natural admitter pro -ti- le mesme 
pronunciation(es) attribuite a -ci-.
