OK, tu ha ration.

'Mais' personalmente non me place proque illo es confundente del
puncto de vista del portugese:
pt mais = en more = ia plus
pt mas = en but = ia sed/ma/mais
Especialmente in Portugal (minus in Brasil) le differentia
phonetic es marcate.
