Post le lectura de Interlingua Grammar And Method (pagina 78) io pone in evidentia iste phases:

While John walked home, he encountered a skunk, blank and wite.
Perque non: ille incontrava como he encountered?

Perque o proque es equal e alternative tanto in le I.E.D. como in Castellina.

Proque le moffetta time necun animal, ille ha ignorate Johannes.
Because the skunk fears no animal, he ignored John.
Perque non: Quia le moffetta time necun animal, illo ignora Johannes?

In as much as John never had seen a skunk before this, he was curious.
Ante isto/before this, ambes manca de completamento.

As if mesmerized by the skunk, John turned himself toward the skunk and approached it.
In precedentia: he ignored John, e ora approached it.

When the skunk saw John approach him, he turned his rear and toward John.

Amicalmente,
Mario Malaguti.
