Dawda,
I must say that I admire your discipline in churning out inspirational poems
amidst an era of disillusioned hopelessness in Gambia. I did not read all of
them but I saw in the ones I've read: quality penmanship and coherent
discourse. If they are original, I wish you'd compile them in a book, invite
G-L participants to come up with names for the book, pre-sell copies to
G-L'ers and others, publish the goddamn poems, and earmark some of the funds
to help independent media and to level the playing field for opposition
parties in The Gambia.
You must have enough to make up a 20-page booklet by now. Don't worry about
greedy publishing houses. I'm sure if you put the word out there, a small
college, university, or philanthropic press will take up the project au
gratis.
Let us know so I can reserve my copy.
Cheers!!!
