Ebrima,
As indicated by my elder brother Sidi
Sanneh,Dr.Solomon Gomez is indeed one of the most
illustrious gambian political scientists/diplomats. He
initially worked for the OAU Observer Mission to the
UN
and later took up appointment with the
Political/Constitutional Affairs Office of the United
Nations Transitional Administration here in East
Timor. As i write this piece, i am reliably informed
that he is in the process of moving over to Asmara
where he will be serving with the UN Mission in
Eritrea.
I also take this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Omar
Touray,a colleague with whom i had the pleasure to
work for this great book on The Gambia's Foreign
Policy.To Dr.Saine, i also extend heartiet
felicitations for the excellent preview.
