Thanks for posting this Sheikh. Ebou was a close friend of many years, and I
am still trying to digest this news.
I have spoken with the family, but would like to again offer my heartfelt
condolences to Ya Marie Jallow and the rest of the Jallow family, to Ndey
and Awa Jobarteh, Yama Lowe and the rest of Ebou's siblings, as well as his
children Kebba & Dawda who I understand are on their way to Gambia for the
funeral. I surely will miss Ebou Jobarteh's freindship, as will a lot of
other people.
He started working for the U.N right after graduation from Princeton
University, and had a long career that ended with his retirement just a
couple of years ago when he went home to Gambia. He loved and enjoyed his
work and was well respected by his colleagues at the U.N.
My condolences also to Ebou Khan his good buddy.
May Allah have mercy and grant him a place in his Jannah.
