KB,
As Brother Saul Khan once intimated, you are not only the man but more
importantly, you keep the fort ala exposing the scoundrels parading
themselves as a gov't back home. Thanks for flagging the Independent story on
the generator deal; somehow it just re-inforces the argument that the Gambia
is run by a 30's-style East Coast mob. There is a sense in which if you
scratch the murky surface of this Jammeh Cartel, the notorious trio - Amadou
Samba, Tariq Musa and Baron Jammeh - become almost an omnipresent thing;
their imprints can be gleaned from every dodgy deal going on in the Gambia.
For their economic and political crimes, they shall be tried and dispossessed
of their ill-gotten gains. Of this, i'm supremely confident.
Once again, i thank you for lucid and brilliant analysis.
Hamjatta Kanteh
