Saul
After seeing your posting, I immediately contacted my people at The
Independent and spoke to Yorro. He told me that it was a false alarm. Out of
nowhere, parents just started running to fetch their kids from school, shops
started closing and people started running helter-skelter. I think it was
just an expression of the general sense of paranoia and insecurity gripping
Gambians these days, thanks to the unpredictable political dispensation in
the country. Yorro has promised to keep me informed and I will in turn keep
you informed of any new developments. Meanwhile, it's good to be in touch.
