Gambia-L:
I went to the Voice of America's Web Page to watch their popular TV
programme, "Africa Journal", and what a shock to have learnt of the death of
Dr Leon Sullivan, the Chairman and Convener of the Africa/African-American
Summit.
Sadly, in this week's "Africa Journal", hosted by top Senegalese broadcaster
Maimouna Mills in Washington DC, Mr Melvin Foote of Constituency for Africa,
was interviewed on the passing away of Reverend Sullivan.
You can listen to "Africa Journal" on - http://www.ibb.gov/worldnet/
Meanwhile, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, or
should I say families, on this sad loss. In my view, Dr Sullivan was a
genuine friend of Africa and may his soul rest in peace.
Indeed, he was an African American Preacher, social activist, and educator
who genuinely wanted to see a better Africa.
