Magistrate E Ota has been redeployed to the Banjul Magistrates Court
following her recent sentencing of the Kombo North National Assembly member,
Hon Musa B Suso, and businessman Ndeneh Faal to 7 and 8 year jail terms
respectively. According to judicial sources, Magistrate Ota, who was at the
Bundung Magistrates Court, had requested for a transfer to the Banjul
Magistrates Court. She was seen on Monday, May 14, 2001 presiding over cases
at the Banjul Magistrates Court. Judicial sources said Magistrate Yukasi
Darboe has replaced her at the Bundung Magistrates Court.
