That's what I exactly meant when I said that it's amazing how much we learn
everyday in this world. International Women's day this year, I was asked by
MIRA senteret(Migrant and Refugee Womn's Association) in Norway to give a
speech. Whiles doing a little research on my topic, I was really surprised
by how little people were willing to talk and how isolated they felt. I
stressed how women need to come together. In the sixties women had this
concept too(collective actions), which I think should be revitalized again.
But I also know that, here in Norway it's not going to be easy to have
these kinds of collective actions because of the different cultural
backgrounds we come from. But I hope that with time, we'll be able to.

Amie,

"It
demonstrates that women's rights are not only "western" feminist concept but
a feel for social justice."

Thanx for this statement. Yeap, it's high time to stop thinking that women
who dare to speak against domestic violence are too "westernised". It has
nothing to do with being "western". We have minds and feelings too just
like any other "western" woman.
