Yusupha,
Take your time, read and think before jumping to conclusion. You've this
habit of mis-quoting people and launching attacks. I don't want to play with
your games.
Show this forum where I said in my mail that "PEOPLE or EVERYONE" don't
understand the Telecomms. stuff.
All I said was "Some People" don't have a clue or understands Telecomms
Technology.
Anyway, like I said, get me out your whatever list you may have.
EB.

telecommunication stuff? You speak as if everyone elese is the idiot but
you. Don't you think this stance is a bit misguided.

> We have been fed the rubbish about the carriers not having enough
international circuits linking to The Gambia? There are many ways of
circuiting to different foreign companies of which undersea cables across
the Atlantic and Satellite links are predominant. The call is typically
routed through a local exchange then an international gateway. At this
point, it is is transmitted using one of the above methods to an
international country. Please note that the phone card companies do not
own these lines. They simply lease space on them. One VoicePath with a
capacity of 133,00 simultaneous conversations only cost 600,000 dollars.
After the transmission, the call has to go through the destined country's
gateway. I have a suspicion that this is where the problem lies simply
because gambians abroad simply cannot inundate telephone traffic over an
international line destined for The Gambia.
