Reading the Observer (APRC mouthpiece) and Buba Baldeh’s childish
predictions of a Yaya ‘victory’ is simply laughable. What made this man
enslave himself to a moron like Yaya in this way? It is beyond question that
Buba Baldeh is the most dubious opportunist in the country. But even at
that, one would expect the man to show some little bit of decency in certain
situations.

Before today’s (September 24, 2001) newspapers went to press, Baldeh must
have heard about the rumors going around town that he and Baabaa Jobe
revealed Yaya’s shenanigans regarding the ‘Ambassador-at-large’. Instead of
addressing that devastating corruption issue, Baldeh went ahead to do what
he does best. He went ahead with his sycophancy. He thinks if he says some
outrageous thing about Yaya winning the next election with a landslide, his
boss (Yaya) will NOT realize that he and Baabaa Jobe leaked the letters and
are trying to sabotage him. I mean, who in their right mind will say that
Yaya is going to get 80% of the votes? Is Baldeh well? Even sycophants like
Tombong are predicting 60%. But moron Baldeh jumps from nowhere and
published in his newspaper that Yaya is going to get 80% of the votes. The
moron might as well say that Yaya is going to get 100% of the votes and even
Ousainou Darboe is going to vote for Yaya.

Clearly, Buba Baldeh will say anything to save his skin. The moron blundered
by leaking the letters to the Opposition and now he is competing with
sycophants like Tombong and Baabaa Jobe as to who will come up with a higher
percentage predicting a Yaya ‘victory’. Well, these percentages can only
happen in their sick minds. Yaya is finished. Just last Tuesday, the
Opposition brought to the IEC double the votes Yaya took there. I know
morons like Buba Baldeh CANNOT add well, but surely he knows that people are
defecting by the droves from APRC to the Alliance. Buba Baldeh’s best friend
left the APRC to go to the Alliance. Yaya and his cohorts are finished. They
are caught once again with their pants down asking for bribe to finance
their election campaign. The vermin CANNOT say anything to the Gambian
people. The whole country have been mobilized against them. They CANNOT even
talk about their ‘projects’ now. The Gambians now know that these are stolen
‘projects’ that rendered our people POORER than they were 7 years ago. I
hope Gambians will hold Buba Baldeh, Baabaa Jobe and Yaya accountable and
ask them to explain their dubious dealings with the man that was prepared to
finance the APRC campaign in exchange for an appointment as
‘Ambassador-at-large’.
