Medicine Sans Frontier presents:
Access To Medicine Expo
When: Thursday, August 1 - Sunday, August 4, 2002, 10:00am - 6:00pm
Where: Seattle Waterfront, Alaskan Way Viaduct (btw. Seattle Aquarium and
Anthony's Seafood)
The Access EXPO is an interactive exhibit housed in a 48-foot
tractor-trailer that will travel to 30 U.S. cities this year to highlight
the lack of access to essential medicines in developing countries.
Experienced MSF aid workers will be on hand at each location to inform
visitors about why millions die each year from treatable diseases like
malaria, kala azar, tuberculosis, sleeping sickness, and HIV/AIDS and what
you can do to help.

Medicine Sans Frontier presents:
Film Screening / Discussion: "Your Money or Your Life"
When: Thursday, August 1, 6:30pm
Where: Seattle Asian Art Museum, Volunteer Park, 1400 E Prospect St, Seattle
A documentary which follows the short life of a boy with sleeping sickness
in Uganda and visits an MSF HIV/AIDS project in South Africa.
The film highlights the need for more research and development into
medicines for these and other infectious diseases, and for lower costs for
existing treatments. It features discussions with representatives of the
pharmaceutical industry, MSF aid workers, affected patients, and researchers
in the field.
