Mr. Camara,
We all feel the pain in the lost of Pa Touray. It is a great lost but to say that it is a "inbelievable" for the Radio stations to hardly play Ifang Bondi records should not be a surprise. They are to play on public demand and I am sure if there are requests to play, they certainly would have. What do you think?
Most of the dic jokeys at the radios now were not born when Ifang Bondi and gelewarr were in the streets.

Thank you very much for your quick action re posting Obituary Pa Touray
on the Gambia-L.

We heard that they are playing Ifang Bondi music all the time now on the
radio in the Gambia.
Very sad that a musician has to die first before people take notice of
his music.
Strangely enough the only other time the Gambian radio played Ifang
Bondi music on a regular basis was 10 years ago, when
all news items
about the Gulf War were introduced by "Nit ku Nyul", an antiwar song
written by Pa Touray.
