I do not think the recent blooper by the Observer should prevent future
publications of contributions on Gambia-l and other online forums. In fact
we should encourage them to print more of what is said on the L for greater
distribution. After all the net and the print media are part of the larger
Gambian bantaba.

However we should encourage our young and aspiring journalist to be a little
more attentive to the rules of the business. As already mentioned by others
please verify sources and acquire the necessary permissions before going to
press.
