The unedited e-mail below is from a source in the heart of the Jammeh
Government.

My source: I am in the midst of finalising work on my doctoral Thesis, so I
could even read your email below properly. I just forwarded it to the Net as
received. But god willing, I'll rejoin the debate on the Internet some time
in October 2003.

I thank all my sources for their understanding!

>As you might have read in the papers recently, the Breton Woods
>Institutions (BWI) are demanding that an independent audit of the Central
>Bank be conducted by a non-Gambian entity without delay - a condition for
>the release of much-needed funds. The auditor(s) will report directly to
>the BWI, Nfamara Jatta and Jammeh to minimize leaks. He (Jammeh) should
>brace himself because audit results will reveal, among other things, the
>elaborate scheme deliberately devised by Lang Conteh to not only defraud
>the Gambian people, but his mentor and business partner Jammeh. He has
>been duped by none other his trusted business partners i.e. The Gang of
>Six. Although Jammeh has had his share of the booty, it will confirm that
>the Gang of Six have made away with millions of dollars more than Jammeh
>could ever imagined in his little brain.
>
>Faced with cascading corruption-related problems causing him endless
>political and security nightmare, Jammeh has intimated to a trusted friend
>that he (Jammeh) will seek American help to escape with his booty to
>Morocco or any safe heaven. His wife is reported to be in favor of exiting
>Gambia before the end of the year when the economic condition is expected
>to be in a meltdown stage causing social unrest. The Army meanwhile is
>equally uneasy about the economic condition and frustrated at the influx of
>Gambian refugees from Liberia who were in the security detail of Charles
>Taylor. In fact most of those stationed at Kanilai have been replaced by
>these former Taylor men causing consternation in their ranks.

>Stay tuned to the Post and G-L as the story unfolds.
