Sister Jabou/brother Malik,
Presently, NDAM is involved in intensed consultations at home and in the
diaspora with regard what appropriate action to take in view of the recent
setencing of Mr Lamin Waa Juwara. We are very mindful of the fact that the
current struggle is a national one and we are indeed positioned not only to
take everyones idea on board, in a way, but to work with everyone in that
regard.
As a result of our determination to embark upon a meaningful action that
would have far reaching consequences, we decline to be provoked into
premature action by the dictates of a a disgraced and discredited regime. It
would be detrimental if at all times we allow our actions to be manipulated
by the A(F)PRC regime.
We wish to inform you all that Mr lamin Waa Juwara is in high spirit because
of his conviction of his innocense, and we are all highly encouraged by your
show of solidarity. It is heartening to note that more and more of us are
becoming convinced that a struggle for justice and freedom is in the best
interest of Gambians from all works of life, regions and cultural groups.
We shall be informing you as soon as we finish our consultations, and work
out the modalities of what we think would constitute appropriate action in
the present circumstance.
WE SALUTE YOUR SOLIDARITY; WHILE THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES!
oma Joof.
