My Fellow Gambians:
This news has just came to me from the management at Ghana Airways. Their contract to land in Banjul expried, and the government is not renewing it; therefore as of this past Monday, Ghana Airways owned airlines are not allowed to land in Banjul to drop off or pick up clients.
Currently, they are trying to charter an airline to transport all the passengers that already purchased their tickets from Baltimore to Banjul and from Banjul to Baltimore.
For the future, the management at Ghana Airways has told me that they will work it out such that they can maintain the route, by chartering a different Airline to do the route. As for now, Ghana Airways flights are not allowed in the Gambia.
As we all knew, this was the only direct flight and always had the lowest fares from the USA to our beloveth country. We would know have to pick other routes to visit our families. Cham Travel Solutions is working deligently to find other routes and lower fares to get us all back to the Country we all love dearly.
Keep calling us and we will update you on the situation.
Thank you
Gibby Cham
