Hello, I've posted a couple of answers regarding Islam and slavery.
If you don't find the answers unpallitable to you, or not to your
liking, take it up with the people who run www.sunnipath.com, which is
where I got the answers from. If you find the Islamic position not
good enough for you, to the extent that you begin to question your
faith as a Muslim, then, as I said before when the topic of racism and
Arabs ( notice I didn't say Muslims ), came up, no one is compelling
you to be a Muslim. If Islam's position on certain issues causes you
so much pain, then either adopt another religion, or no religion at
all. Whatever you wish. The Quran, in fact, does state that there is
no compulsion in religion. So no one is forcing you to be a Muslim.
At any rate, you're not going to force me into another argument
by asking seemingly pointed questions about slavery and Islam, yet
when Christianity is brought up, you don't even want to address that.
.
Whether we like it or not, slavery has been a part of human
history, in one form or another. That's just how it is. It's just a
painful truth that I'm not going to deny. And yes, slavery still
exists today, in many different forms,
the BBC even did a documentary series about slavery in the modern
world or something like that. You might still be able to find it on
the BBC World Service site, via the documentary archive.
As far as the Quran's stance on slavery, no it doesn't outright
condemn it, but neither does the Bible to my recollection. So as I
said, if Islam's stance on a particular issue causes you so much
trouble, then find another path...
That's all I have to say on this issue, if you have any other
questions, go to SunniPath and ask them. I'm not going to sit here
and again make a total fool out of myself, as I've already done, or
have another "mental breakdown", as some have termed it, because I
allow people to bully me, or get under my skin, or make me angry!
Because if I allow anyone to do that to me, then I'm going to say
something else that I'm going to regret, which is said out of anger
and not reflective of my true positions.
