GOOD MORNING, MR.PRESIDENT,THE CHARLES TAYLOR FACTOR ON THE "COOKED" COUP!!!!
Mr. President, Gambians want evidence in the alleged foiled coup. In the absence of evidence, your claims will be doubted by sober minded Gambians. It is evident that your administration is in the business of framing innocent Gambians that they have fallen out with. It is getting to one week and yet there is no credible evidence advanced by the investigators. The forced confession torture reports, we are hearing are very, very worrying, Mr. President. The detainees rights should be respected, even if found liable of any offence by a competent court. Spare their lives for God shake.
THE COUP LINKED TO THE TAYLOR REMOVAL NEWS!!!
Mr. President, there is this talk that your government is increasingly worried about Charles Taylor’s extradition to Sierra Leone and as such the Presidency is trying send a message to the army to remain loyal or risked facing the consequences. That Taylor, might likely incriminate you in his testimony if he appeared on that War crime duck. There are many theories being linked to the arrest of the military and the Civilian populace. Well, time will tell, Mr. President.
Mr. President, could you tell us how many coups you managed to quell since you assumed the Presidency? If our memory serve us well, these alleged coups and counter coups are more than ten since Jammeh came to power through undemocratic means. This government failed in their bid to prove these high capital offences brought against our men in uniform. Most of the cases were either dismissed by the courts due to lack of evidence or a Presidential pardon extended to the alleged coupists.
Mr. President, star witnesses such as Francisco Caso are nothing but a joke to the administration of justice in our country. Imagine this Italian mafia, who was hired by Jammeh to incriminate Lieutenant Lalo Jaiteh and others in a similar faked coup could not speak English in court.
Caso who claimed to have specialized in anti terrorism combat when asked by Lawyer Ousman Sillah, to tell the court the seniority between a Captain and Lieutenant Caso, voted for the latter saying“ Lieutenant seniored a Captain.” And this was a man entrusted with the life of our President. This man told the NIA that he witnesses the coup plot discussions and yet he could not tell the court the difference between Lieutenant and a Captain. In other jurisdictions, Caso will be exposed to mental examination. We expect a person of his caliber to be able to answer such basic questions. Wonders never cease. If we have a sick President, we are bound to have sick body guard.
Mr. President, lies will not sustain your government. The sad thing is that the majority of the people arrested used to dine with you at some point. These were the people you used to call the true sons of The Gambia. A classical case is sacked Mayor Lie Conteh. This man helped a great deal in promoting your party. Lie succeeded in drawing support for the APRC in Kombo. Now that he is in bad terms with Jammeh, the regime is worried. Mr. President, we are compelled to ask you this question today: Did you have a true friend these days?
One Yahya Jammeh is at war with the entire Gambia. The Jammeh madness is getting out of hand. He lives in second guesses as to who is loyal and who is not loyal to his administration. By the time, he knows the tigers in ship clothing, this will mark the end of his government. Jammeh have started a war which he cannot win. He created a lot of enemies for himself. Little did he knows that most of the people chanting his praises are his number one enemies. Jammeh’s future is bleak. This poor dude will live to regret why he wronged Gambians.
Mr. President, you may as well resigned from the Presidency and go back to the military if you want. Dressing in military uniforms will not help the situation. If the alleged coup reports are true, then your government is far from stable.
We have seen in Mauritania a similar trend. Despite the arrest and detention of the coup suspects, the army ruminants finally succeeded in taking over. This led to the overthrow of your former friend’s government. We do not want to see such trends in The Gambia. We want our voters to deal with Yahya. The soldiers should take a back seat and wait for October, when the inevitable political change will take place. This is no gimmick.
Having said this, we are not convinced about the bogus coup, unless this criminal administration provide credible evidence to back up their allegations. Mr. President, don’t faint to death. The real change is coming, soon. Freedom is on the doors steps of Gambians. Let watch and see. Have a great day……
