All, below is an article from the Point. I was at the said implicitly alluded conference and Waa's assertions are very very false. I am one of the planners of the Midwest Conference in Chicago. You'll saw the program: it had an education panel composed of Drs. Nkuzi Nnam, Abdoulaye Saine, Paula Saine, and Mike Banutu Gomez (Banutu-Gomez replaced by Baba Galleh as Moderator); Immigration presentation by Mr. Kayode Idris, JD, was next; third was the Dominican Univ. slot filled by Dr. Nkuzi to discuss his book - "Colonial Mentality in Africa"; the final slot was called UGAMA (to read United Gambia) for the purpose of starting dialogue about uniting the "Opposition". With the exception of a very few, those active behind the scenes are mostly UDP, so, how did Waa miss that if he knew what he was talking about? I can understand if he said that his source may have misinformed him, but he cannot insist here that he was factual. Not a single second was NADD mentioned during that 90 minute slot or any other time during the six hours of presentation. Who ever talked to Foroyaa got it right and Waa is lost on this one, unless there was another venue that i am not aware of. He also could not have mistaken the Yearly Islamic Conference held in Chicago, for a NADD Unity Conference, that was the held the same weekend Gambians converged in Chicago. There was also a gathering of Gambians in Miami, may be the attendees can lend us their perspective. :-)!

Seriously, advise to Waa. We are not going to make it easy for you to formally cross the carpet to the APRC. You will have to walk on that carpet alone. None is going to engage in a cat fight with you, however, all eyes are on you. Every other week you manage to bark at someone to elicit a response, yet you end up barking alone. You mentioned Ousainou before, you got no response. You mentioned OJ, you got no response. You mentioned Halifa before, you got no response. Now you add Sidia Jatta and Sam Sarr. I hope they too, leave you to battle your demon. I know Foroyaa can handle their own but I give them the liberty to post this article with my name as an attendee of the said conference that was implicitly referenced.

Waa, you are within your rights to join Jammeh officially, so, just take the first step and you will find out we planted no grenade on your path. After a comment or two, yours will be stale news just like your uncle's - DK Jawara and many the preceded him. I am in agreement with you for if Yaya put train tracks on your back (read lashes) and electrocute you from under and you still want to sing his praise, then who the hell is Joe in the bigger scheme of things? So, don't mind Gambians, just do what a free lion (read chicken) would do and go for tea with Yaya. I understand DK goes for Dinner.

Waa Juwara Hits Back At ForoyaaTuesday 4th September 2007
Lamin Waa Juwara, the leader of NDAM, has reacted angrily to a front page story in the 3-4 September 2007 edition of the Foroyaa newspaper.
The story headlined “Gambians in the United States Dismiss Gibba’s Report as Erroneous Misrepresentation of Facts”, was a reaction to a story The Point had carried on 29 August 2007 headlined “Gambians in United States to Reunite NADD.”
The Point story had been based on an exclusive interview our reporter Abba Gibba had had with Waa Juwara. According to Juwara, who called this paper early yesterday morning, his sources are credible. And so The Point story is not an erroneous misrepresentation of facts, as the Foroyaa newspaper made it out to be.
He added that any Gambian in the Diaspora who wanted to disown his assertion was simply trading in lies. He then wondered why the Foroyaa reporter did not contact him to give balance and accuracy to his report.
Juwara pointed out that the Foroyaa reporter contacted Abba Gibba and got a statement from some people in America, yet he did not contact him for comments.
He said, “You cannot get Halifa Sallah, Sedia Jatta and Sam Sarr as editors of a newspaper and at the same time double themselves as leaders of a political party and think they can be objective. Their independence is compromised and they have been misinforming the Gambian people and if I read their focus on politics, it is all rubbish.”
