Jallow from Kwame Nkrumah.” The book was delivered  through Lamin Janha who frequented Sekou Toure’s Guinea to see Kwame." (Mathew K. Jallow)
   
   I found the above statements by Mathew K. Jallow to be very insightful about the personalities that dine by day with great African leaders such as Dr Kwame Nkurumah and at night plotted for their downfall. While Dr Nkurumah regarded the likes of Mathew K. Jallow as friends and fellow African revolutionaries whose mission was to bring about the unification of the African peoples against the selfish interests of the imperialists, neo-colonialists and their reactionary African allies; the reality with the latter was different. The likes of Mathew Jallow in actual fact were unbeknown to Nkurumah and co plotting against their leadership. Mathew and co-conspirators paraded themselves as friends to Nkurumah, Toure, Cabral, Lumumba etc while they secretly detested them and were convinced that their leaderships were doomed to failure in the face of the stance of the Western powers who regarded Nkurumah and his likes as threats to their continued hegemony over Africans.
  In the presence of Nkurumah, the likes of Mathew would worship the great man but deep in the hearts of the latter, Nkurumah was already regarded a failure.
  Sincerity of our so-called intelllectuals and leaders is the greatest of the problems that we Africans face. Mathew clearly manifested that!
  Mathew, please don't tell us that you only considered Nkurumah a failure after his death as that would be even more insincere on your part. No person is perfect and neither will any system ever be. Capitalism and socialism must co-exist for meaningful development and prosperity of the citizenry of any modern nation. Getting the balance right is what matters more than anything else.
  The lack of accountability and not socialism or capitalism is Africa's other major problem, second only to insincerity that you manifested. With friends like you, who needs a friend? Sad! Very sad indeed! Nkurumah must be turning in his grave with disbelief from your betrayal. Rest In Peace, Nkurumah!
