No, Suntou, even if Ousainou was insulted, firstly, the person doing
the "insulting" has done this before, secondly, I think he, Muhammad,
was seeking to get a reaction.  So thirdly, you had no right to insult
he and his family right back.  Both of you have tried to make excuses
for your actions (Muhammad spoke with me privately yesterday via chat),
and there is no excuse for either of you!  Both of you claim that you
only insulted the other person because "they started it"?  Are you
serious?  This is what children say, this is what my 4-year old nephew
would say, not supposedly mature and grown up people.  And men no
doubt, who are supposed to be, or claim to be or in some cases demand
that they be "leaders" and heads of households, etc.  And supposedly
religious men at that!  And neither you nor Muhammad are going to get
much sympathy for me, perhaps others are better people than me.  But
we've been down this road before, heated discussions and all.  Thus one
would think that once you see something like this coming again, to just
ignore it and move on.  If Darboe is insulted, consider the source of
the insult and leave it to Darboe and family to defend.  But somethings
just don't need defending, especially if that defending means the kind
of insulting language we've seen in the past week.  I mean, do you
think Ousainou would approve of how you've chosen to "defend" him?

Muhammad's message wasn't meant to be an actual mature and thoughtful
discussion, it was merely meant to provoke and unfortunately, that is
what it did and now both of you want to play the victim.
