Thanks Cousin,
For the wonderful remarks. Like I said, all constructive criticisms are highly welcomed.
I initially closed the subject but the fact that I decided to write back shows how much grateful I am to the silent supporters, the silent critics, the loud critics, the skeptics, You, Uncle Sountou, Mawdo Maareme Laye, Mr. Jaiteh, Kukeh and all the others I cannot name vividly.
How can you be charging me fees when I will give YOU, YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOUSE AND STUFF FREE GLOBAL PUBLICITY in my motion pictures?
Brand Managers pay fortunes just to get their products/brands/messages placed in the movies. In most Hollywood movies you see an Apple Inc products smartly placed within the props.
If I SHOULD approach the Mafia they will give me the money, the security, the luxury cars and the fabulous villas FREE OF CHARGE and, the HOT LADIES to match: just to have their stories told in a professional way! They will also indemnify me and I will be under their protection. The good thing about the Mafia folks is that they honour their words as parties know the merciless consequences of a breach!! OF COURSE I AM YET TO APPROACH ANY MAFIA GROUP. I DO NOT KNOW ANY. I HAVE NO GANGSTER MOVIE PROJECT ON MY AGENDA ANY TIME SOON TO GET GANGSTER EXPERTISE/INPUTS!!
I will only pay extra fees for those who can provide me authentic NKO, HALPULAAR, SERER, JOLLOF, AJAMATU, KARONINKA, MANJAGO other native dictions, parables and related anthropological inputs. My Gambian-made films (works) will not compromise on THE USEFUL KAMBIYAN NATIVE LANGUAGES AND CIVILIZATIONS.
Possibly you and all interested folks can start nominating the Native Language and Cultural Experts I can possibly hire as consultants for film, stage and TV projects once I start operating in Gambia.
Thanks for the Valentine cool-off.
I reserved my Gambian flight for this first and second quarter. I hope Jammeh's Office will get back to me ASAP as hinted by the Government bureaucrats. Otherwise I will have to push the time slot till later - June/July or in the last quarter of 2012 when they are ready.
I HATE THE SLOW GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACY. NO WONDER I CANNOT IMAGINE GLUING MYSELF ON AN OFFICE JOB UNTIL I BECOME FAT AND UGLY LIKE A HIPPOPOTAMUS!
No offence to the office cats here. Myeaaau! Hahahaha!
