Americans say you can put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig! No
so-called "release from The Office of the President" can masquerade what
amounts to robbing the Gambia the service of some of her finest, most
educated, selfless citizens as something good for The Gambia. Neither
would any claim of "disappointing performance and abysmal failure of
multi-million dollar agricultural project" all of which are
unsubstantiated, no matter who says it, can tarnish the records of these
noble civil servants. Some of these people refused offers to leave The
Gambia for so-called greener pasture so they can continue working with
Gambian women. Neither did we hear them claiming names for themselves in
doing so. To tarnish them with unsubstantiated claims is not only wrong
but shameful for The Office of the President to engaged in.
