I must say that was a very well thought piece. I certainly agree, just as
Karamba did, but one thing both of you fail to understand is that President
Jammeh was just acting. That speech was unlike his impromptu sppeches which
are not drafted and written, but always from the bottom of his heart.
Speeches like that are to enthuse. They are mere papers, just like ours' on
the L. As long as they are not acted upon, they are mere ink on paper.
Did he bow to pressure to read a speech he did not mean? Only history will
tell us that. And those who think that some people too were going to bow to
his presence and not demonstrate against his ACTIONS, are yet to "Put up" I
guess they decided to "shut up".
