To All Members of Gambia-L,
I would like to use this opportunity to thank all of you for all the kind
words you sent me on my birthday. You people have contributed enormously in
giving me a glorious day either through the List or by private mail.
Among all the messages I received and some other non-related postings, I
would like to comment on a few of them. The first one that made me laugh was
that of Awa Sey, It was a nice message, But I also learnt from it that she
has never sat around the game of Monopoly. One doesn't does have to be good
in the game to know how much one gets for his birthday. I found Awa's a fine
one.
From other postings I found Alieu Bah's "Mouse on Mars" very exhilarating.
One expects a "Breaking News" and what where we presented with. Very funny,
indeed. But the funniest phrase to me was surely Malanding Jaiteh's "Domoda
with Curry". When I read Malanding's posting, table was being prepared. I
did not say anything to my guests until we were ready, not wanting to dampen
their appetite. When we were ready I told them. They couldn't stop laughing.
I think that recipe should be published on the List for us in Europe to also
experiment the taste.
Sam Thorpe: I really have no words for your gesture. Thanks and I shall
never forget it.
Madiba: To me Camus is always right. His is the best.
Jane Dowse: Thanks a lot. Your Pmail really touched me. It even wanted me to
announce a second birthday next week. I will answer your question soon.
Once again to all members of the Gambia-L I say a very big THANK YOU.
Cheers.
Prince Coker
