Another response to Mr. Eperi.
*****************************
yes, the article written by Mr. Adrew Eperi can really fool only
fools who are short of memory and devoid of self-respect and wisdom.
I hold the contents of that article with disgust and would want to
relegate it to the dustbin as it carries a notion of inferiority
complex. Let me advice that the human species is afterall only one of
a kind amongst them all. Any person has the potential to be the best
if they are given the opportunity to express themeselves fully in a
specific situation. eg. academic, sport, music, leadership anything
really. The difficulty is in knowing which will be yours. We just
dont have the means to know whether George Mokone will in future
become world best 800m runner or may be a successful Astronomist or
not. Just say for argument sake he(Mr.Eperi, being African-I assume
he still regards himself as African) was given the platform to lead,
he could probably turn out to be one of the most sucessful African
leaders of all time, but because he is short of hope and
self-respect, he seems to think the only way is to be colonised.
----shame and it is really a pity!!! Mr. Eperi can afford to say
whatever he wants to coz he is in Chicago and not facing the facts
and the the truth: fact is colonialism did us no good-it caused us a
lot of harm, the products of which is Mr. Eperi himself( only if he
could come to his senses and his own self and realize). He is still
caught in the legacy of colonialism(I say shame on him again!!). That
was what this monster(colonialism ie) was meant to achieve: induce
the feeling of inadequacy and self-pity in Africans, and Mr. Eperi
seem to have fallen a victim of it. He has now become thoughtless(I
doubt if he was ever a clever thinking person). He seems to lack
insight and knowledge, perhaps its because he living in a perfect
world(Chicago ie).
Knowledge is power, but often people who end up ruling the majority
of nations dont have the knowledge.
In short, Mr. Eperi is a waste of time.
cheers mate,
George G. Mokone
