Well, I was wrong about where Dad is going.  The town is called Glens Ferry, which I believe is even closer to brother Dale and farm.  I also went there to public school.  Sister Judy and hubby Wendell plan to go on a business trip the  17th, and other sibs will take over and move him on the 18th, hoping that he won't feel abandoned by the ones who had cared for him.  I hope that helps him. 
The place seems homey, with only 14 residents, activities every day, living room with open kitchen, his own room and bathroom.  Seems a good environment.
