EB,
I know you are frustrated but if you think you can "control" Gambia-L,
then I see no reason why you shouldn't be appointed for this seemingly
simple task. Btw, are you suggesting that the current list managers are
INEPT?

You wrote:

<<1.Moderated---- in this this kind of ListServ, you(Manager) read all the
Messages posted to the List, and you Decide which to Post(Send) and which to Reject. This takes the Most work on your part, but it ensures that your List isn't "Spammed, that the discussions stay Relevant, and that the List isn't Hijacked by Abusive people who want to post Obscene or Objectionable
messages".>>

Is this your idea of a moderated forum, or is it a typo? Geez, please
remember these guys are not getting paid to do this kind of work , you
know. "you(Manager) read all the Messages posted to the List" ! Ok, so you
agree that this is NOT going to happen. Right? Well, guess what? So is
Braodcast ListServ. Don't ask me why we would need one-way communication.

Therefore our options, using the process of elimination, are narrowed
down to UnModerated ListServ. This is a breather to those who appreciate
commonsense. Not only does this translates "freedom of speech", but for
many, it means we are being treated as ADULTS. It's like a cookie jar. You
never know what you gonna get. So of course we knew ahead of time, just
like there is a price for freedom, that the room for emotional outburst is
wide open; and believe it or not EB, our competent list managers are privy
to this vulnerability, which is why they implemented the Gambia-L Rules
and Guidelines. You should see the manual, it is gigantic; the rules,
draconian ; and the guidelines, as vagrant as a nomad.

So you see EB, what we have now is nothing shy of a deadlock.EB, censorship
is not only time and resource consuming, it is a billion dollar business. If
you believe you have the wherewithal to censor Gambia-L to everyone's
satisfaction, then be our guest. EB, my take on this besetting quagmire is
that List managers must apply their rules and regulations squarely without
favors. In short, you DON'T cherry-pick violators. You apply the doggone
rules across the board, Kaput.

Lastly, EB, whereas as I do know for a fact that List Admins can do nifty
things such as block violators IP addresses and/or flag derogatory
(key)words, I also do know for a fact that regardless of what method is
used to moderate any ListServ, someone can always slip through the cracks.
Did you know that I can use your name(or any list member) to send e-mails
to any ListServ, without ever becoming a member? Ask Tombong.(o-:)hehehe!
BTW, do you realize you have a DELETE botton on your keyboard? Works every
time!
