Gassama;
With all due respect, this is one of those rambling diatribes which makes one
wonder whether all your faculties were intact during the time of writing this
piece. I say this because most times, despite your unexplainable fanatical
support for this regime, you come across as a very intelligent man, who is
able to write an article which tries to cover any possible loopholes, yet
this time your line of argument is so jagged and emaciated, I cannot help but
wonder whether you are OK. I am sure that you understand that this is one of
the reasons why people get taken to task on this list. One writes nonsense
at their own peril. If one writes an oxymoronic statement, most likely,
someone will point it out regardless of consequences.. This your piece is
one of those shaky articles.

I think given the accusatory thrust of your piece, you owe it to everyone to
really explain what you mean by the "enemies of the Jammeh and his government
"? IMO, your attempt to paint a picture of these group of Gambians as people
that seek to isolate a poor and defenseless Gambia is really disingenuous.
How can you reconcile such a stance without coming up without better examples
to give credence to this stance other than the weak example about illegal
drugs you proferred?

I think you need to turn your proverbial objectivity hat around to face the
right direction. You need to think about the issues that really matter.
Issues such as human rights, and the many other areas of governance the
regime has failed in. These and other issues relating to the way the country
is run are what really matter when it comes to judging this regime.. And
truly these are the issues that are used by many consicienscous objectors to
judge this regime..

I do hope that when you wonder about frivolous issues such as the link
between low ranking army officer and drug containers, you also give serious
thought to the things which really matter as it pertains to how this regime
is judged.

Good day to you too!
