If you see yourself in this poem, then it is dedicated to you.

THE BURDEN

Heavy burden on your conscience
Pulling on you
And you fear to fall
But falling belongs to the earth
Not a thing of the universe

You keep spinning
Never touching ground
Becoming endless
Trying to figure why
Why why why
Everything around seems tranquil

Feeling the melting lava in you
You know no rest
The inside quakes
Ripples quickly move to the horizon
Disobeying the laws of the earth
That's all the outside sees
Your heat is latent
Are you exploding?

You feel so different
At the edge of normality
You wonder why
Passing by the Bantaba
You wonder what's wrong with you

Why not marry and have children
Why not build a house
Watch the blue sky
Listen to the birds
Feel the ocean waves
What else
Is worth desiring
Why reach beyond the horizon

But yonder lies the secret
The desire to create
The urge to know
The will to change
Weigh heavy on you
Feeling the endless universe
Consummates your joy

You will be restless
Not like the rest
Not the best
But you have a quest
For the true meaning of things
For quenching that dry thirst
