noble project.

The Department of State for Education has received twenty-five thousand
books and fifteen computers to be distributed among schools mainly in
the rural areas. The materials were donated by the Gambia Health
Education Liaison Project known as GAMBIA HELP which aims to promote and
protect community health through education and awareness creation as
well as improve the quality of education in the Gambia. At a handing
over ceremony held at the Book Production Unit, the Executive Director
of Gambia Help Shelby Tarutis who also served as a peace corps
volunteers in the Gambia twenty years ago said the donation came as a
result of hardwork of many volunteers of Gambia Help both in and outside
the United States.
