Bro Haruna,

I tip off my hat on this disclosure about AGERA from you. I called some of friends there and they shared something similar to what you shared. It looks like two powerful factions there. I also join you to plead with our good brothers Lekbi and Habib to get their fangs down and face the peoples’ common good. There shouldn’t be any sitting on the fence.

Having said that, I am also forwarding this to the mighty as you instructed. I truly look forward to your appearance there soon as time permits you. You hardened me for debates and left me, but heh I am a grateful student of yours. You thought be ‘staying true!” and I realized that’s the only route ever for success. Daily, hourly, I get more eager to achieve your wisdom of “staying true!”

Regarding the GDP, Mawdo Demba is also subscribed here at the Gambia-L and he will take a note of it greatly. Be rest assured, he is strong for whom he is. Personally from me, accept my sincere appreciation of your positive endeavors. I wish the GDP all the luck it deserves.

It looks like we will be missing Galleh’s hand for a little bit here, all for good. I am re-loadings my bags of humor to await such activism back from him. If for anything, I must confess to you his writings give me great hope over Gambia’s current struggle. It’s like when Farrakhan met Mandela, he told him that his words gave him hope and kept him going. I can now resonate with what poor Farrakhan meant though I have my own disagreements with him for refusal to denounce certain Elijah inherited strings to which the great Honorable Wallace Deen Muhammad (Son to Elijah now Imam in Chicago) long since denounced.

Kind regards with love,

YJ

Thank you Ma Yero. The GDP's strength and survival will rely on you, Demba, and your associates of Gainako, your family, and friends. I encourage you to grow with us. 1. AGERA is Atlanta Gambians Emergency Relief Association. 2. The vision and aims of AGERA are laudable and valuable to the Gambian community in Georgia. I maintain residence in Georgia therefore I am in full support of the idea of AGERA and I encourage all Gambians in Georgia and other states to support AGERA. I also encourage AGERA to better communicate with members of all Gambian communities. A website and effective PRO can go a long way toward that. 3. The communal posture of AGERA does not lend itself to competition by private ventures such as The Atlanta Soccer Legends. 4. I think GFAA should necessarily be part of AGERA. I encourage my friends Lekbi and Sylva to consider such. I thank them for inviting me to their very successful events and even though I promised to donate and participate in those events, sobriety and due diligence advised me otherwise. My encouragement of them and participation could could widen the semantic divide and impress bias. And I must not be biased toward GFAA at the detriment/expense of AGERA. I was very close to yielding to GFAA when I was briefed by AGERA. Knowing as much as I know now, and my encouragement of industry and enterprise not-withstanding, I may not support an independent and private GFAA. I will support it wholeheartedly when it becomes part of AGERA. I will present myself at one or two events of AGERA this weekend if possible and I will always maintain a supportive disposition toward AGERA. I encourage you and your friends in Minnesota to form M'GERA if you do not have one already and link it to AGERA. Likewise Carolina Gambians, DC Gambians, Washington Gambians, NY Gambians, BAMA GAMBIANS, etc. You get my drift. All these communities could be overseen by an umbrella Diasporan organisation that will work hand-in-hand with The GPU-USA, and other professional Gambian organisations such as the Gambian Medical Association, Trades Union, Gambian communities in other nations, Gambian Farmers Association, etc. There will be tendencies for the organisations to be highjacked by one or more political factions or parties. I strongly discourage that and that must be resisted by all Gambians. 5. An organisation like AGERA and other such organisations, are an integral part of The GDP's vision and project implementation. Likewise the Senegalese Community, The Guinean community, The Georgia (USA) community, The Malian community, The Sierraleonean and Liberian communities, and more recently The Malawi community to encompass the African and Global communities. The people of AGERA and Gambia, are constituent stakeholders in The GDP. Therefore, I can only support and encourage AGERA.Not only that, I must discourage the dis-ease and dis-jointing of AGERA and like communities. 6. I am duly informed that Lekbi and Solomon are meeting with AGERA to lay the groundwork for incorporation. I commend Lekbi and Solomon for this attitude and for solace, I share the following: Sometimes a temporal disagreement and disaffection could be a spur for more comprehensive community. It has a tendency to refine and open the creativity and industry of unique members to the organisation as a whole. If Lekbi and Solomon were not disaffected, GFAA would not have been formed. The danger that Lekbi abd Solomon must resist, is have other disaffected persons to turn the temporal but useful disdain into more permanent animus and diminished fortunes by duplicating all aspects of AGERA. Lekbi and Solomon must prevail on Njok and Kara disband The Atlanta Soccer Legends in deference to improving and expanding the existing soccer team under AGERA sponsorship. De-minimis, discourage the duo of the Legends from taking a competing posture. The re-union of GFAA in AGERA itself portends a brighter and adjusted future for AGERA. I encourage the AGERA executive to meet with GFAA with that recognition. It may not be business as usual at AGERA because the success and vision of GFAA and its potential does threaten AGERA and communal cohesion. Yero, Suntou, Galleh, JDAM, Fye, YayiNana, or other, please feel free to share this with our friends at the Mighty. I will endeavour to multi-address such commentary like you beautiful people do. I think there is merit in't. Thank you for listening and in Advance of your forwarding to the Mighty.
