What I found strange about your "comprehensive chronicle of some human
rights violations on innocent Gambians by the regime" is that it seems that
no human rights violations were recorded by AI or none was perpetrated
by the regime throughout the period 1998 to date. Did you
inadvertently "cut out some of the unnecessary titbits" or is it that there
has not been any human rights violations by this regime, post
1998?

Gassa

When it comes to the protection of Human Rights in the Gambia, the APRC
Government seem to be scoring 3 out of 10 for its gross violation. With
regards to what happened in 1998, well Lamin Waa Juwara UDP's National
Organising Secretary was abducted and subsequently tortured by the likes
of Baba Jobe, Modou Pika Jallo and Co. In fact, don't forget the Brikama
Mosque Saga, in which some UDP supporters were unlafully detained happen to
have taken place in 1998. Yus might have mistakenly omitted the period
1998. If you are indispute with my explanation then wait for US State
Department Report on Human Rights in The Gambia schedule to be released
tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day.
