Folks, have some of us realized that this man or whatever he/she is(NDERRY) posts some questionable stuff to this list and i am begining to doubt the truth of some of his stories.
It`s true The Gambia is in some form of crisis, but this folk keeps on exaggerating the situation back home. Some of us really find some of the gabbage stuff this person post here as they are irritating.
I am not trying to condemn you here but it would be beneficial to you and all of us here if you try to be substantiating some of your stories. You take issues too personal instead of confronting them in an objective nature. And just to enlighting you, Abacha didn`t relinquish power. The fact is that he died an automatically ceased being President of Nigeria, if you insist that he relinquished power could you please give proof to that.

EDITORIAL:IS JAMMEH PLANNING TO RELINGQUISH POWER? APRC EATING EACH OTHER IN DAY LIGHT!!!
EDITORIAL
Gambia’s dictator President Yahya Jammeh has declared a war against peace loving Gambians. The recent arrest, torture, extra judicial killings and disappearance of civilians will no doubt lead to a full blown political crisis in this impoverished West African country. Almost all families in The Gambia are affected in Jammeh’s self imposed rule. Despite his growing unpopularity, shameless Jammeh is forcing his way out , no matter what it takes. Wronged families and their loved ones will never forgive this monster hell bent on destroying the fabric of society in our country.

JANGFA JAMMEH'S FUTURE IS BLEAK
The Gambia is not ruled by the rule of law today. There is total lawlessness. Jammeh, is arresting, torturing, kidnapping and killing Gambians at his own will. The recent so called foiled coup, is a classical example. Instead of allowing the courts to decide the fate of the accused persons, Jammeh, is watching by allowing the detainees to be tortured to death. It is reported that some of the detainees will likely die due to the mistreatment they were exposed to.
Jammeh should think twice and bear in mind that his own day is coming. What you saw is what you reap. We have seen worst dictators suffering today. This is a word of caution. The rule of law should prevail in the interest of justice, fair play and equity.
There are many theories advanced for Jammeh’s hostile behavior. Some say the man is trying to delegitimize his government to justify any military take over. That he is on the verge of relinquishing power to some of his close ones in the military, just as in the case of his late dictator brother Sani Abacha. Another theory suggested that Jammeh had lost faith in his administration and is uncertain of winning future elections. That the military boys and the NIA refused to execute his killing orders. There are many talks going on in this country. What is clear is that his regime is on its last days.
The Freedom Newspaper is opposed to any forms of military coups and would not hesitate to ask Jammeh to resign honorably if he feels that he cannot steer the affairs of our country. The military is a stumbling block to democracy. We all have seen the amount of destruction caused by Jammeh and his cronies since the advent of this illegitimate government.
The soldiers of “difference” are today eating each other in broad day light. It is a matter of time for Jammeh to face the musical chair. He has put himself under house arrest. His movements are restricted for security reasons. This is not the type of Gambia, we wanted. We want a Gambia, where people can move freely without having the fear of being arrested or toppled by the military. Jammeh created this sad state of affairs and is no doubt paying for the price.
Gambians have good reasons to be worried about their security in days and months to come. This government has proven to be unable to protect its citizens. Our national security is weak. People lost faith in Jammeh’s government. Jammeh should bear in mind that when people’s minds are not at ease there cannot be meaningful development.
Our country is today reduced to a rumour mill society. People are skeptical about the future of this country. There is no hope for better Gambia under Yahya’s watch. People are openly complaining about the growing economic and political hardship in the country. Down with Jammeh and his failed APRC government. God save The Gambia and her people.
