I want to rectify that the team and not the individual who sent them to you
wrote the mails you quoted on behalf of list management.

You are completely right the list managers came up with a tailored "decree"
or what ever one wants to call it, in order to have a compromise after a
vote that ended in a deadlock on whether to delist Joe or not. The delay in
reaching a decision is partly explained by this deadlock.  But please may I
refer you to rule #8b as quoted below.

#8b.  "In that there is a disagreement about the gravity of the allegation,
Gambia-L List Managers will vote on whether the accused is guilty or not."

Don't you think that you have violated #2 where it is stated, "We’re a
diverse, worldwide group of several hundred people. Our emphasis is on
sharing information. Flaming and personal insults (including name calling,
libellous statements) are out of place here"?
